Racks or Straps?

Hello ladies and gentleman! It's been awhile since the last post but I or shall I say we won't let it happen again! We've been out quite a bit this fall/ winter hunting deer, waterfowl, and turkey and soon to add rabbit to the list (one of the few reasons to actually wish for snow), but what seems to be the difference between us and a large portion of my social media friends (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace (actually I have no clue what those friends are doing since really who checks that anymore?) etc.) is that the laws don't really seem to be being followed very closely. I'm not exactly sure which state mandates a person has to kill at least three bucks in a year (with a rifle during bow season no less, which is what I like to refer to as bonus round douche- baggery), but I would love to go help them out with their over population problem!

So my question to this audience is this... Do you hunt for trophies only (racks) or for the sport of it, game management, food, or any of the other non braggart reasons (straps)?

I do have to admit this year I've enjoyed my first season not using the Winchester 1400 for birds... I actually got 2 different guns I'm using the Remington Versamax (great Father's Day gift thanks again Quentin!) and the Benelli Super Vinci (day before Father's Day gift to myself...) I'm very impressed with both guns if you're in the market for a new shotgun you can't go wrong with either choice!

You Shot The Camera!

Well thankfully we get to go back to photographing and videoing our outdoor excursions today! My friend's son did something almost unimaginable last Monday... He shot the camera while we were in the blind but weirdly enough that's covered under the warranty... Oh well I guess your child's maturity level is what matters, and not there age when you hand them a loaded weapon. The 7 year old shot a turkey the 11 year old put a new window in the blind and turned a $250 camera into a paperweight... Anyways we've been out planting our food plots and hanging trail cameras out and about everywhere. In addition to looking for places to put a few stands and a couple of blinds... Why would you put out a blind in June you ask? So that the deer are used to it come September! Early preparation is the key to any successful outdoor activity! Whether you are organizing your tackle or going into the woods knowing where the game is heading at any time of  the day. Always be prepared! Anyways we've got some fishing to do see ya'll later!
